Could someone help me convert a .jpg to a .dst embroidery file?

It’s not just a simple conversion unfortunately, it’s time consuming to create.

Damn....that sucks. The local shop wants like $30 to convert it plus the embroidery charge which isn’t worth it to me. Hopefully I can find a techy friend who can help then....

Well the people who have the software to do that are the ones in the business of embroidering, and the ones who know how.

I think you would actually need the software for a Husqvarna Orchidia machine to do that. AutoCAD also uses a .dst file extension, but it’s probably not compatible. Even if it were, you most likely would need to hand-draw some elements.

I unfortunately dont have access to the software anymore to do that (I used to do IT support for an embroidery shop).

No worries. Seems like I’m going to have a hard time finding someone that does have it lol

do you do you have any other file formats available for that jpeg image? if it was created by a graphics designer it was probably made in illustrator and you might be able to be convert from that.
Disclaimer: I don’t know anything about the format for the embroidery thing.

Not into a vector file?

Just whatever I can convert to for free with online converters. I made the logo with an online studio(can’t remember the name), but .dst conversion requires some extra work, not just plug and play

Idk what that is tbh. The place just said that they need a .dst file

Probably worth the money. What you really need is a source vector file, but you’d still need to convert it.
JPG is great for fast transfers and lossy image compression, but it’s a terrible format for anything that needs to be precise and/or scaled.
